West Coast Swing on Wednesdays modified: Rich Cooper continues
his month-long series of Wednesday night West Coast Swing lessons. Rich is a
recent competitor at the U.S. Open, and in addition to teaching West Coast
Swing, also teaches a newer dance called Swango. Rich, along with his assistant
Judy Leslie, treated the class to great looking variations for anchor
steps. In the beginning, sounds heard were Oh, Oh and Whoops. By
the end of the session, sound effects changed to Oh Yes! No more boring
anchors for this class as they will now be anchoring with taps to the side
and triples that cross in front and other variations. Rich made them
look great while at the same time teaching how to maintain connection during
this key WCS move. |
