Multiple-time
dance competition winner Maren Oslac is back as a Wednesday instructor at
Swing ‘n’ Country. Last week, Maren went over basic rhythm and the sugar push
with Beginners. Intermediates were privy to a 32 count pattern. One of the moves has been aptly named “spinnus
interruptus” by one her students. The dancers now know how to tell if it’s a
6 count pattern or an 8-count pattern.
Hint: Which way is the
followers’ foot facing on count 4? Another unveiling mystery, “Why does the
lead squeeze his thumb on top of my hand?
