Competitive and Social: All the dances can
be danced for the simple social pleasure of people moving to music together,
or can be taken to the level of competitive dancing, where the partners are
no longer striving just to have fun, but rather to meet a high standard of
technical and artistic goals. Read

Festival. Crown Plaza Chicago O’Hare.
Look forward to workshops, open dancing and competitions at CDF. A tentative schedule
has been posted.
Chicago Dancer Stimulus Plan: SNC members can save $15 on their weekend
pass using the promo code CHISWG. (Remember it was only $10 last year.) As you register
online, the promo code field appears after you enter your name and address
info. The discounted rates will NOT show up on the general pricing page
- you must enter the promo code before you'll see the reduced rates. Of
course folks are welcome to complete a hard copy of the registration form and
deduct the $15 from the total.

Summer Dance Festival. Grant Park.
Group dance instruction in everything from ballroom to country line
dancing on a 3,500 square foot open-air floor at the Spirit of Music Garden
in Grant Park.

June 27: Saturday. Brian Wong, editor of Chicago Dance News, hosts Double
Dance at Ballroom City, 207 Villa Avenue, Villa Park, 60181. The theme is
Red, White and Blue Jam. Active and veteran US Armed Forces who
wear their uniform or clothes with a military logo get in half price. (map)

June 27: Saturday. Studio
Viva presents a Swing and Hustle Dance from 8:00pm - Midnight. Jon Serletic will
be teaching Hustle. The first half hour is beginner, learning the rhythm with easy
patterns and the second half hour is intermediate patterns. The studio is located at
41 E. Northwest Hwy, Palatine

Wisconsin Rebels Swing Dance Club presents the 9th annual Wisconsin Dance Challenge. Radisson
