Julie Hein, along with her assistant Don Leynes, gave students grins and giggles as they brought them through the various building blocks and then flair that accompanies Double Two.
Julie teaches privates, is co-director of Swing City Chicago and a Life Member of Swing 'n' Country. Both she and Donnie are also avid photographers.

Figuroa, a West Coast Swing and Hustle Champion. Hustle workshops will begin at Noon on Saturday continuing until 3:30 pm. West Coast Swing workshops will begin at Noon on Sunday and continue to 6:00 pm.(map)
March 6, 2010: Chicago Dance Marathon. You can dance to support Children's Memorial Hospital. March 7: Sunday. SOS (Swing on Sunday) presented by May I Have This Dance. There will be an advanced West Coast Swing class at 6:00 pm followed by open dancing that consists of West Coast Swing, Hustle and touch of Night Club Two Step and Country. (map)
March 6 and 20: Saturdays. The Chicago Rebels host swing workshops and dance at The Centre at North Park, 10040 Addison Ave., Franklin Park, 60131. (map)
March 12-14: The Chicago Classic. Hyatt Regency O'Hare. Hosted by Jim Becker and Nancy Tuzzolino. A full weekend of competitions, top pro's teaching workshops and plenty of open dancing..
March 15: Monday. Chicago Dance brings you Gary McIntyre, a United Country Western Dance Council Masters Showcase Champion, and a UCWDC Open 8-Dance World Champion. There will be a West Coast Swing workshop from 7:00 to 8:00 pm and a Two Step workshop from 8:00 to 9:00 pm. Classes will be held at Chicago Dance, 3660 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago 60618. (map)
March 13 and 27 : Saturdays. Chicago Dance News hosts Double Dance (swing, country and ballroom dance) at Ballroom City, 207 S. Villa Ave., Villa Park, 60181. The 8:30 pm lesson is followed by open dancing from 9:00 pm until midnight. (map)

Mondays: Maren Oslac hosts a four week series of West Coast Swing lessons during March at Heart & Sole Dance Studio, 7038 183rd St., Tinley Park, 60477. WCS 101 begins at 7:00 pm and is followed by WCS 102 at 7:45 pm. (map)
Mondays: Jill Popovich Powers teaches Pilates in Arlington Heights starting at 7:00 pm. Pilates helps dancers of all levels learn to move their bodies more efficiently, resulting in smoother dancing, longer endurance, and more flexibility. You will feel better too!
