Jill Popovich-Powers Teaches Nightclub on Wednesdays and Friday, April 2 |
Join us each Wednesday and the first Friday in April to learn the romantic and smooth-flowing dance called Nightclub.
Jill is both a country and swing competitor, a coach and a performer. She is a multi-talented woman with a former career as a phyiscal therapist. Jill also enjoys playing and coaching softball.

Learn to Spin and Turn on Friday, April 16
Julie Hein will break down pivot and chaine(prounced Sheh-nay) turns until you understand the body mechanics perfectly!
After that, practice is all you need for your turns to appear as though effortless. |

Friday Dances: April 2 and April 16
Beginner: 7:30 pm
Intermediate: 8:15 pm
Open Dancing: 9:00 pm until Midnight
No parter necessary, we rotate often.

April 10: Saturdays. Chicago Dance News hosts Double Dance (swing, country and ballroom dance) at Ballroom City, 207 S. Villa Ave., Villa Park, 60181. The 7:45 pm lesson is followed by open dancing from 9:00 pm until midnight. (map) Note: There is only one dance in April.
April 22-25, 2010: Swing Dance America. Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. West Coast Swing and Hustle Dancing, Workshops, and Competitions. Golf Outing, Dance Workshops, and Early Bird Dance are on Thursday, April 22.
Sundays. SOS (Swing on Sunday) presented by May I Have This Dance. There will be an advanced West Coast Swing class at 6:00 pm followed by open dancing that consists of West Coast Swing, Hustle and touch of Night Club Two Step and Country. (map)
Mondays: Maren Oslac hosts a four week series of West Coast Swing lessons during March at Heart & Sole Dance Studio, 7038 183rd St., Tinley Park, 60477. WCS 101 begins at 7:00 pm and is followed by WCS 102 at 7:45 pm. (map)
Mondays: Jill Popovich Powers teaches Pilates in Arlington Heights starting at 7:00 pm. Pilates helps dancers of all levels learn to move their bodies more efficiently, resulting in smoother dancing, longer endurance, and more flexibility. You will feel better too!
