Just ask Bill, Bob, Roger, Wayne, Don, Ann, Judi and, of course, Pierrick and Pierre about the competition successes they've had while under training by Hania Richmond. This very talented teacher can bring the best out in you in any dance whether it be for social or competition reasons.
Join us during October and learn how to press the ball of your foot into the ground in order to make those hips move the sexy cha cha way. You'll also learn easy to understand patterns and connection.

Celebration of Engagement
Doug Rousar became engaged to Lori Wahl on Friday, September 10. Doug has been head judge for many dance events including our own Dance Camp Chicago.
Swing 'n' Country wishes Doug and Lori much happiness!

Other Chicagoland Happenings
October 1-3: Divas Weekend
starring Erica Berg and Stephanie Risser. A full weekend of dancing,
workshops, private lessons and jack and jills for Hustle and West Coast
Swing dancers. Presented by May I Have This Dance and a Saturday night add on by the Chicago Rebels. October 8-9: Chicago Country Music Festival. Millennium Park on Chicago's lakefront. There are three music stages to satisfy any country fan: the Best Buy Honky Tonk Stage, the Americana Stage and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion.
October 28-31: Swing City Chicago. Westin Hotel, Lombard, Illinois. Fifth Anniversary Celebration. Early bird cut off is October 1.
Fridays: X Dance hosts its dances on the 2nd and 4th Fridays at The Centre at North Park, 10040 Addison Ave., Franklin Park, 60131. (map)
Saturdays: The Chicago Rebels host a swing workshop and dance at The Centre at North Park, 10040 Addison Ave., Franklin Park, 60131 on the first and third Saturdays of each month. (map)
Saturdays: Chicago Dance News hosts Double Dance (alternating all swing and then swing plus country dance) at Ballroom City, 207 S. Villa Ave., Villa Park, 60181 on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. Check out Brian Wong's web site for detail. (map)
Sundays. SOS (Swing on Sunday) presented by May I Have This Dance. There is a Hustle lesson at 6:00 pm followed by West Coast Swing at 6:30 pm each and every Sunday. Lessons are followed by open dancing from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. (map)
Mondays: Maren Oslac hosts two four-week series of West Coast Swing lessons a month plus a dance at Heart & Sole Dance Studio, 7038 183rd St., Tinley Park, 60477. WCS 101 begins at 7:00 pm, WCS 102 begins at 7:45 pm and a dance immediately follows. (map)
Mondays: Jill Popovich Powers teaches Pilates in Arlington Heights starting at 7:00 pm. Pilates helps dancers of all levels learn to move their bodies more efficiently, resulting in smoother dancing, longer endurance, and more flexibility. You will feel better too! Contact Jill to learn more or for directions to the class.
Thursdays: Thursdays at Sundance. A practice party coordinated by Richard Blumenthal and Ching Lin gives dancers an opportunity to share information about their country, latin and swing techniques and moves. 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. 300 Lakehurst Rd, Waukegan 60085.
